Harry Potter and the Deathly SIII Case

Continuing with my nerd and nostalgic theme, I bring you a Harry Potter case for the Samsung Galaxy SIII.  I can go months without thinking about the Harry Potter series.  But if I'm flipping through the channels and come across one of the movies, I'm immediately fourteen years old again and engrossed within the culture. J. K. Rowling wrote the story of an orphan boy that has managed to resonate with all age groups and cross-culturally.  She is also the first billionaire female author who lost her billionaire status because of her philanthropic work, something you don't see often.
The case depicts two symbols that are synonymous with both Harry and the world of Harry Potter: his glasses and the lightning bolt scar.  The two symbols are laid over a red background which represents the house that Harry belonged to at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  The rubber case comes in both black and white.  The case is 15$, plus shipping and handling, and offers more customization through the seller.  To order the case, follow this link: Harry Potter and the Deathly SIII Case - John

"Altec" it from here guys..

Music has played such a vital role in almost each and everyone of our lives. There's always that one song that seems to capture your feelings when your experiencing your lowest of low's or on cloud nine. Music can offer hope for a brighter future, it can fuel us as a motivating factor, or help us wind down after a long day. As a child I can recall the importance of music in my household, my father would always turn to his radio after a long, hard day of work. It was his escape if only for a few minutes, as Led Zepplin played away my father was freed from whatever had ailed him that day. While the radio still plays an important part in our daily lives who honestly has the time or patience to sit through the five songs you wish you never heard, just to hear that one song you seemingly waited hours to hear. Given the popularity of the iPhone today, I feel it was a major accomplishment by Apple in adding iTunes onto each mobile device. Originally you could only utilize the iTunes device with your headphones or the low hum the iPhone speakers offered. Today docking stations have become a huge hit in households as well as many businesses. Simply put not all docking stations were created equal. By brandishing a common name like Bose, Sony, or Phillips people will basically be overpaying for a product which is aesthetically pleasing and that's about it. In doing my homework prior to purchasing a docking station for my apartment, I was overwhelmed by the positive reviews i kept hearing about the Altec iMT320. My initial reaction was "Altec, what is Altec..never heard of it" and so I continued looking at all the pretty $200 Sony docking stations. Then weeks later, while shopping at Best Buy I asked an employee for help and if he had any feedback on any of the docking stations. He quickly directed me to the Altec iMT320 and told me it was the best purchase he had made in years. That was 6 months ago and I can honestly say the $70 I spent was on this docking station was well worth it. All of the specifications can be found here, and how this model stacks up with the competition can be found here. I guess the phrase don't judge a book by it's cover summarizes this blog perfectly.  - Pete

Do You See What I See?

Black illusion iPad Case - New iPad/iPad 2

I have always been a huge fan of optical illusions. I can spend hours searching for new fun optical illusions on the Internet. They are so intriguing. For those of you who do not know what an optical illusion is, it is seeing something differently than how it appears of seeing something that does not exist. This cool new iPad case has one of the most popular optical illusions on it. This vortex illusion makes can be looked at a few different ways. Sometimes the vortex can look like it is moving. It is also hard to tell if the vortex is "moving" away from you or "moving" towards you. How awesome would it be to carry your iPad around in a case that has an optical illusion on it. You can impress all of your friends with this awesome case and ask them if they can see the vortex "moving."

Some of my favorite optical illusions include:

1.) IS IT AN OLD WOMAN OR A YOUNG LADY?

The image below can be seen two different ways. This is my overall favorite optical illusion. When I first saw this illusion many years ago in elementary school, I could not notice the old woman in the photo. I could only see the young lady. What looks like a choker on the young lady, is the mouth of the old woman. The part of the photo that is supposed to be the young lady's chin is the old woman's nose. Lastly, what helps me distinguish the difference between the two, is the ear of the young girl, which is also the old woman's eye.

2.) The second optical illusion below is my next favorite. The first image i saw was an hourglass, but i realized there is an other hidden image of two people about to kiss. The white hourglass distracted me from seeing the black part of the photo, which interestingly enough is a completely different picture.

3.) The last optical illusion I have shared is really cool because I see it as a double meaning. Not only are there two separate images to be found, but the two words, "good" and "evil" are complete opposites. Although I may be looking into this particular illusion a little too much, I made a cool discovery about it. It is funny because the word "evil" is written in white, which usually is a color that represents purity and all things good. On the other hand, "good" is written in black, the color that usually symbolizes darkness and evil.

1.  2.

3.

Optical illusions are a lot of fun. It interests me to think about why different people may see one image before the other. This case can be purchased by clicking the following link: Purchase Black Illusion iPad Case.

Return of the Furby

One of the most frightening toys as a child has returned in the form of a Galaxy SIII case.  The furby case reminds of me of when I was given one for my 8th birthday.  The thing was frightening and I never really let it leave the box it came in.  A few weeks after I received it, I accidentally knocked the box off the shelf and the creature came to life.  From then on it would turn itself on in the middle of the night.  The large eyes would flutter because of the motion sensor and the furry creature would speak to you.  Absolutely terrifying.

The case is available on etsy for those who did not necessarily have a frightening experience with the possessed toy.  It is a hard snap case and costs $19.50 with additional shipping charges.  This would be a twisted gift for anyone who experience first hand, the horrors of the furby.  There is no doubt in my mind that these things really were possessed.  The case is available here: ETSY GT-i9300  -John

Holga iPhone 4/4S Lens Filter and Case Kit SLFT-IP4

Holga is an online lens and camera company. They specialize in high quality cameras, lenses, and lens attachments. Their 4/4S Lens Filter and Case Kit SLFT-IP4 is one of their highest recommended iPhone cases/attachments. This case is sold on Holga's website www.holgadirect.com as well as Amazon's website and through other retailers. The case sells for between $23.99 and $26.99 depending on the retailer. This case is made for the armature photo taker looking to mess around all the way up to the serious photographer. This case is made for the iPhone 4 and 4S, however Holga also makes the same case in an iPhone 5 version.

The case has a hard plastic backing to protect the phone. It comes in many other colors besides red, such as black, white, silver, and blue. This case also leaves all buttons of the iPhone exposed so as not to hinder any of the phone's functions. It's main feature however, is it's nine filters plus an empty filter for taking normal pictures. The nine filters include: dual image lens, triple image lens, quadruple image lens, 60mm macro image lens, red filter with heart cutout lens, solid red filter lens, solid green filter lens, yellow filter with clear center lens, and blue filter with clear center lens. Each filter gives a unique effect to the photo being taken. The case also allows the user to take videos with the different filters. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone who has an interest in photography.

This is an example of the difference the Red Heart Filter makes.

This case is the Michael Kors iPhone 5, 4S and 4 Pyramid-Stud Multifunction Phone Case. This case is sold online through Michael Kor's website www.michaelkors.com. The case is also available in their retail stores. This case comes in many other colors such as yellow, blue, and pink (all with studs). Michael Kors also offeres a version of this case without studs. This case, and many other phone cases offered by Michael Kors match their current handbags. This is beneficial because many people like to match their phone cases to their handbags.
This Multifunction Phone Case can be used for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5.This is a plus because when you upgrade to the newest iPhone, you do not need to get a new case. The case is made of white saffiano leather and golden pyramid studs. On this iPhone case, the wrist strap is removable. In the case, the iPhone is placed in the center zipper, while other items such as money, can be placed on the two pouches surrounding the center zipper.  There are also three credit card slots within the case. She Doesn't Even Go Here!

Mean Girls Burn Book Leather Case For iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4

Look out "Mean Girl's" fans; the burn book can be yours! Those who have seen the movie "Mean Girls" will immediately get all the references made by the millions of fans of the film. Whether a reference is made about a cake made out of rainbows and smiles, Glen Coco getting four candy grams for Christmas or wearing pink on Wednesday, each reference can quickly be associated with the extremely popular film. The "burn book" is one of the well known symbols from "Mean Girls." The story follows four snobby, unaccepting, opinionated, yet popular girls. These girls keep a "burn book" and inside they write insults and rumors about their peers. The book, filled with lies and horrible words, has its pages photocopied and distributed throughout the girls' high school, causing havoc. The good news is, you can have your very own "burn book" too-sort of.

Etsy.com has introduced its new Mean Girls Burn Book Leather Case for the iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4. There are three colors to be chosen from: black, red and navy blue. The case folds into a stand and makes reading, typing and watching videos on the iPad easy.

Before you go around carrying a burn book replica, make sure you know the rules of being a true mean girl. Just remember:

1. You cannot wear pink on Wednesdays.
2. You cannot wear a tank top two days in a row.
3. You can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week.
4. You can only wear jeans or track pants on Friday.

You are sure to get a lot of attention when using this original iPad case. You just may strike up conversations with some strangers who are "Mean Girls" with this case. This case can be purchased for the reasonable price of 35 U.S. dollars at the following link: Burn Book iPad Case. Happy burning everyone!

'80s Cell iPhone 3-4s Case

Urban Outfitters has come out with a way for iPhone users to time travel back to the 1980s with their '80s Cell iPhone 3-4s Case. Urban Outfitters is an online and retail store located throughout the United States. They sell may different items such as clothing, apartment necessities, and accessories. Their tech accessories for the iPhone and iPad are reasonably priced. The above '80s Cell iPhone 3-4s Case is priced at $9.99. The case is only offered in black because in the 80's all cell phones were black. This case is also made of hard plastic to keep the nostalgia alive.

The case fits iPhones 3, 3GS, 4, and 4S. It allows the user to see (or remember, depending on the age of the user) what it was like to use a "brick" cell phone in the 1980's. It is shaped like cell phones looked in the 1980s. It even includes an antenna. The case while bulky, still allows iPhone users to use all functions of the phone except the camera. The user can still answer calls, use the home button, and listen to music. Most reviews of the phone are positive. The negative comments are mainly based around the bulkiness leading to difficulty texting. It should be noted that this case is to be used for novelty and nostalgia, not functionality. This phone serves as a remarkable reminder of how far technology has come in thirty years.

Wallets and Purses? I Ain't Got No Time For That!!

We live in time where ease and accessibility are a must. Whether you're a student, part of corporate America, or pushing retirement it seems everyone is always on the go! Sometimes men cram so much into their wallets they begin to looks as if they'll soon explode. While cramming everything you need into your wallet may be out of necessity, have you ever been stuck looking for that one credit card or insurance card? Ladies you're not off the hook, I've seen women no taller than 5 ft lugging around a bag half their size. I personally have been stuck in a line behind both men and women impatiently waiting as they dug through their wallet/purse seemingly looking for the cure for cancer. All this scenario creates is added stress to a world, already overflowing with excess anger. There is now a simple and stylish solution for this problem. For all the Gentlemen out there it is the iPhone Leather Wallet by ProfectusLeather , it holds the meat and potatoes for all your daily needs. It can hold everything from cash and credit cards to your phone. For all the ladies we have the Touch Screen wristlet by CoolShops. There are many wristlets similar, but with this one you never have to remove your phone to send a text or answer a call. The Leather Wallet is currently selling for $25.00 USD, while the Wristlet retails for $36.00 USD. Both offer ease and accessibility while remaining affordable!!  - Pete

The Cat In The Hat? More Like The Cat In The Case!

IPad Mini Cover Ereader Case for Kindle, Kobo, Nook - Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat BookIPad Mini Cover Ereader Case for Kindle, Kobo, Nook - Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat Book

Who says that books are outdated?! This new trendy iPad mini case is made from the cover of a popular children's book. Although the famous author, Dr. Seuss passed away in 1991, his legend lives on. His legend lives on in the theatre with the Dr. Seuss based musical, "Seussical." His legend lives on at IHOP, where the Lorax panckes and Green Eggs and Ham made their debut as breakfast menu items in 2012. His legend even lives on in the movie theatres. Many Dr. Seuss books have been made into movies such as, "The Lorax," "The Cat In The Hat," "Horton Hears a Who," and my personal favorite, "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."

What better case to carry your iPad mini in than one that is going to provide hundreds of childhood memories? Or maybe it will provide adults memories of reading Dr. Seuss books to their children. Or maybe you just enjoy Dr. Seuss at any age and want to keep his legend alive. The iPad mini case can even hold a nook inside, which means you can read eBooks while holding the nook inside of a real book case. Four elastic bands hold your iPad, nook, kindle or iPad mini securely inside of the case. There are many other Dr. Seuss book cover iPad mini cases including "Green Eggs and Ham" and "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" cases. These cases can be purchased from the following link:

The Walking Dead 03/10/13

The Walking Dead

AMC's The Walking Dead focuses on a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic society plagued by zombies.  Sunday's episode focused on two rivaling groups preparing to go to war with each other, while their respective leaders attempted to negotiate peace.  Neither Rick, nor the self proclaimed Governor, ever actually considered peace.  Sunday's episode, titled "Arrow in the Doorpost," was a filler episode focusing on the dynamic between the two groups and how they prepared for battle.  With resources scarce, the two would never peacefully coexist.  Andrea, a member of Rick's group who is now living with the Governor in Woodbury, has a tough decision to make.  Will she return to the group who she has spent the last year of her life with? Or will she stay with the Governor and kill her friends for a warm bed within a gated community.  Her decision may be the deciding factor on who survives.  There are only three episodes remaining in this season of AMC's The Walking Dead, and they guarantee to be action packed!
The phone case above shows an illustration depicting The Walking Dead for the Samsung Galaxy SIII.  The black colored case with a glossy finish can be purchased off of SunshineDesignOnline's Etsy shop.  For $15.99, plus shipping and handling, the case is a perfect addition to any fan's Walking Dead collection.  Follow this link to purchase: The Walking Dead Phone Case - Etsy

Pink Honey Bee iPhone 4/4S Case

This is the Pink Honey Bee iPhone 4 and 4S Case from www.shopjeen.com. Shopjeen.com is an online accessories website located in New York City. The have many different and unique phone cases for the iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5, including their Honey Bee line for the iPhone 4 and 4S. They are a convenient website to purchase phone cases from because they guarantee $5 shipping worldwide. They also have a fast delivery time (my order took under a week to be delivered). I was very satisfied with Shopjeen.com and my iPhone 4 case. This case is also available from www.amazon.com.

I recently purchased this iPhone 4/4S case for my phone and I love it. The case is made of silicone, and the antennae and wings are bendable. The case comes in many other colors such as: green, purple, red, natural bee, and blue. I chose the pink because I felt it matched my white iPhone 4 the best. The case is a little large, but it protects the iPhone very well. This case protects the back of the phone and extends over the glass screen of the phone, which prevents the screen from cracking when dropped. Another feature of this iPhone 4/4S case is that it is very unique. Most iPhone cases are shaped to the iPhone, this case has it's own shape which appeals to many.
